About The 3rd Act

A little history: Back in 2007 Patricia Cavanaugh decided to leave her job as a clinician and start a new business focused on helping people thrive in retirement. She called her business The 3rd Act. Bev Scott, on the other side of the San Francisco Bay, had a similar idea and she, too, called her business The Third Act.! Friends introduced them to each other and they decided to join forces.

By combining these two ventures, Patricia and Bev created a collaborative, powerful and unique business that guides others through their retirement process. By joining their creative natures and drawing on their collective strengths, they developed a business that was more vibrant and more exciting for both of them and their clients.

Bev has retired from The 3rd Act, but the same sense of collaboration, challenge and joy imbues our new team – Patricia, Ellie, Ruth and David – with a sense of passion for our leading edge work in the field of positive aging. Let us support you through this new and exciting phase of you life.
