Are you wondering…

  • When is the best time for you to take social security?
  • Should you buy long-term care insurance?
  • Do you need help figuring out your financial savings and investments?
  • Do you need to keep working but want to change your focus?
  • Are you wondering where to live in your retirement?

You are asking some of the same questions that our workshop participants have asked.

Our Topic Series Mini-Workshops can provide you answers.  We have asked professional experts to address these questions on 6 consecutive Wednesday evenings from 6:30-9:00 in downtown San Francisco near the Powell BART/MUNI Station.

The next workshop in the series is “When Should I Take Social Security?” with Mary Anne Courtney, CFP, EA.  Many of us have this question.  “Courtney” will help us figure out our best options. 9/29/10

Now that we know what to do about Social Security, let’s tackle work.  Do you want to continue your current job or do you yearn for something new and exciting but are afraid to make a change?   It’s all about “Transition”. Dorene Mahoney, MA, SPHR will guide you through “Career Transitions” 10/6/10 You can learn more about Dorene at: http://www.stepwellcoaching.com/.

Ok now for a scary question, how should we invest and prepare financially for our bonus years?  It is a challenge to know how to proceed during this recession, Barry Taylor. CFP will give us an overview and guidance at the third in the series   with “The Financial Considerations of Your 3rd Act” on 10/13. Learn more about Barry at: http://www.integralfinancialsolutions.com/node/2

On 10/20 Courtney returns to help us consider the best way to care for ourselves as we age and avoid being a burden to friends and family in her presentation on “Should I have Long Term Care Insurance?”

Finally on 10/27 Nancy Meyer (a senior realtor specialist) will provide information to help answer your housing questions in the session “Where Should I Live?”  Should you age in place, move to the Sunbelt or are there other options?  Learn more about Nancy at: http://www.longtermcarelink.net/listingprofiles/1642-Nancy-Meyer-CA.htm
